Kylie Minogue is pretty loved-up lately and has credited boyfriend Paul Solomons for ‘taking care of her’ ever since they got together.

The couple have been dating for around two years now and Kylie, who is usually known for being quite private when it comes to her personal life, has been known to share the odd smitten snap with boyfriend Paul to Instagram.

Kylie, 52, first made her relationship with Paul official on social media in May 2018, sharing a picture of the couple cuddled up together as she celebrated her birthday.

Fast forward to 2020 and the pair are still going strong, but how did the Can’t Get You Out Of My Head hit-maker and her man meet and who is he?

Who is Paul Solomons and how old is he?

Paul, from Caerphilly, Wales, is the creative director of British GQ and GQ style magazine and has been since 2001. Prior to GQ, he previously worked at Marie Claire.

He is also the director of his own company, Paul Solomons Design LTD.

Prior to working in magazines, Paul had worked for a specialist printer in his hometown in Wales that had produced titles such as Marie Claire.

Paul is 46 years old and Kylie was seen wishing him happy birthday in April, as she shared a picture of the pair kissing and captioned it: ‘Birthday kisses and love to this one 🎉 Mr Solomons, 46 today! #birthdayboy 💖🍰 (A pic from waaaaay back when he was 45!).

How did he and Kylie meet and how long have they been dating?

Kylie and Paul were reportedly first introduced in February 2018 through mutual friends. It’s believed the pair became close friends and chose to keep their relationship low-key at first.

In May, Kylie shared her first loved-up snap with Paul on Instagram, before confirming their relationship while posting photos from a trip they took to New York together in July that year.

It came a year after Kylie had split from ex-fiancé Joshua in February 2017. They had announced their engagement a year earlier in February 2016, three months after first getting together.

Addressing her new relationship with Paul in November 2018 – four months after going Instagram official – Kylie said she was ‘surprised’ to have found love again.

‘It’s going great, it’s fabulous,’ she said of their romance on The Jonathan Ross Show. ‘Just when you think, “will it ever happen?” it came and surprised me.’

What has Kylie said about boyfriend Paul?

Earlier this year, Kylie told the Daily Mirror that she felt ‘lucky’ to be dating Paul.

She said: ‘Who says you can’t be soppy and romantic later in life? Particularly when you find a good and true love. I feel even more thankful and lucky that I have this in my life now.’

Appearing on Lorraine in November, Kylie gushed that she feels like she met Paul at the ‘right time’ in her life.

Opening up about their romance, she revealed: ‘He is such a good support. We have a laugh. We have both been through enough in our lives and just met at the right time, so it’s lovely.’

Paul had joined Kylie on a trip back to her native Australia last year to celebrate her grandmother, who like Paul has Welsh roots, turning 100 years old, where he met most of her family.

‘There were so many extended family for him to meet. He did very well,’ Kylie told Australia’s Stellar magazine, as she shared her hopes of buying a place down under for her and Paul to stay at when they venture back there.
