On 24 May, Netflix dropped a new sci-fi adventure film – Rim of the World.

As the synopsis of the film says: ‘Stranded at a summer camp when aliens attack the planet, four teens with nothing in common embark in a perilous mission to save the world.’

Based on that and the trailer, if you’re looking for something of the same ilk as Super 8, Stranger Things, and The Goonies, then Rim of the World should be at the top of your watch-list.

Where do you know the cast of Rim of the World from?

Jack Gore (who plays Alex) has appeared in the likes of The Kids Are Alright in 2018 and the TV show Billions

Meanwhile Annabeth Gish (Alex’s mom) is a showbiz veteran, having appeared in the likes of Mystic Pizza alongside Julia Roberts and Lili Taylor in 1988, the hit TV shows Sons of Anarchy throughout 2014 and The West Wing from 2003 until 2006.

Maya Cech (ZhenZhen) started out as a model when she was four, and has been acting since 2015, notably having appeared in The Darkest Minds in 2018.

Benjamin Flores Jr. (Dariush) was in Happy Feet Two in 2011 and Ride Along in 2014, and Alessio Scalzotto appeared in Genius in 2018 as a young Pablo Picasso.
