Love is truly in the air in Love Island as the finale approaches and couples get closer and closer.

We’re approaching the end of this 2020 season, and after spending weeks upon weeks together in an idyllic villa in South Africa, coupled up islanders have begun making it official and committing to being boyfriend and girlfriend.

As we near the beginning of the end, here’s a reminder of who’s in a relationship…

Who are the official boyfriend and girlfriend couples on Love Island?

In frankly adorable scenes, Paige and Finn became the first official couple of the 2020 series.

Last week, Finn sat Paige down by the fire pit and asked her to become his girlfriend after opening up about his feelings about their journey together – referring to notes he’d made on his phone.

‘I’ve never doubted how I feel about you, but I was guilty maybe about doubting how you felt about me,’ he said.

‘But when I came in here the other night, and you were single, that was a massive sign for me. Since then, I’ve just been so happy, I’ve been over the moon.

‘All I think now is what’s going to happen on the outside. The elephant in the room is the distance, and there are going to be some challenges, but I do want it to be something we face together.

‘So will you be my girlfriend?’

‘Say that one more time?’ Paige asked, and answered in the affirmative with a kiss.

The second couple to make things official were Luke T and Siannise.

The sweetness of Finn’s declaration to Paige notwithstanding, Luke T’s fairytale-inspired quest, complete with a crown for his girl and questions on their Love Island journey for her to answer on her way to him, was the cutest thing reality TV has seen in a very long time – possibly ever!

Once Siannise had answered every question – with a little help from Luke M – she arrived at the day beds where Luke T was waiting.

‘Obviously, you’ve been a big part in my journey in the villa and I want to show my intent outside the villa,’ he said.

‘So I want to ask you if you want to be my girlfriend?’

A visibly pleased and emotional Siannise replied: ‘Oh, 100%!

In other news, there seems to be something in our eyes…
