Whitney Port broke down in tears on her YouTube channel after being told she was likely carrying an ‘unhealthy pregnancy’.

The Hills star has been open about suffering two miscarriages over the past two years, while trying for a second child with husband Tim Rosenman.

On her latest episode of her The Hills recap series, Whitney and Tim opened the episode with a sad update on what has been going on in their lives.

Wiping tears from her face, Whitney said: ‘I’m currently seven weeks pregnant, which is supposed to be obviously really exciting, and it has been up until yesterday. I have been going to the doctor and monitoring it, because of my history with miscarriages. I’ve had two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy. And everything was looking good up until yesterday.’

The 36-year-old said she had an ultrasound, and ‘whatever was happening in there was not where it was supposed to be, given the week that I’m at’.

The reality star praised her OB-GYN for ‘being an amazing, sensitive, sweet guy’, before explaining: ‘He said that he was pessimistic about this pregnancy, and he told me to get blood drawn. So, I will get blood results back today and see if numbers are going up or going down. He thinks they’ll likely be going down. And he is having me come in for another ultrasound on Monday.

‘But the moral of the story is, this is likely another unhealthy pregnancy. It’s such a huge part of our lives right now, and it affects everything, physically and mentally and everything that we do. And it just felt like an opportunity to just share it, because I couldn’t just sit here and go on with my life and not share it. And I know that there’s likely so many people out there that have had to deal with this.’

Whitney said that while she was ‘super grateful’ that she and Tim had their four-year-old son Sonny, ‘I definitely feel scared for myself and my confidence and my self-worth and what this means for that, and also for not being able to give this family I think what would be the best for it.’

When the video was uploaded a week later, the couple shared that they had another appointment ‘where the doctor heard the heartbeat and saw an embryo, to everyone’s surprise’.

They added: ‘Who knows what will happen, but we had to share with you all.’

Back in January, Whitney revealed that she had started a new vlog to document her home renovation and her pregnancy, but sadly suffered a miscarriage.

In the vlog, which she decided to share, Whitney said: ‘I’m enjoying being pregnant because I can relax and not feel guilty about it and I’m spending all this time at home and I have nowhere to be.

‘But I’m also ready to just, like, have the baby so I can be in charge of my body and life again and not ever have to have any anxiety about getting pregnant ever again.’

The podcast host added that this would ‘probably’ be her and Tim’s last child, although suggested they could adopt in future.

A year and a half earlier, Whitney experienced another pregnancy loss, and shared that she felt guilty for feeling relief.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘The amount of various emotions I felt in the past couple weeks have been extreme…from shock to sadness to relief, which then led to guilt for feeling that relief.

‘My identity has been shaken in regards to who [I am] as a mum and human being. I’m currently in the process of learning to accept that my feelings are valid no matter what they are. Whether or not people feel the same way as me or not. They are my personal emotions that are the result from my own journey.’

Whitney shot to fame in 2006 when she appeared on The Hills as Lauren Conrad’s friend and fellow intern at Teen Vogue.

She went on to get her own spin-off series The City, during which she met Tim, who was a producer on the MTV show.

The couple got married in 2015.
