Which Love Island cast members are the most successful?

Love Island has been on our screens since summer 2015 and has been so successful that this year we experienced our first winter edition, but who is the most successful islanders of all time in the name of social media ?

We took a look at every season to see what the winners and runners up are up to and where they are at in their careers.

Season 1

Season 1 winners Jessica Hayes and Max Morley.

Winners: Jessica Hayes (368k Instagram followers) and Max Morely (257k) split just six weeks after leaving the villa. Jessica is now engaged to her fiancé and has a beautiful baby boy, Presely. Max Morely has been busy travelling the world and taking pictures for the Gram.

Runners up: Hannah Elizabeth (446k) and Jon Clark (516k) split a few months after leaving Majorca. Despite getting engaged on the show, their romance was short lived.

Jon proposed to Hannah in the first season.

Hannah is now a mum to little Reggie and Jon is happy doing his own thing.

The runners up of the season have more followers than the winners.

Season 2

Cara and Nathan with their son Freddie.

Winners: Cara Delahoyde (1.1m) and Nathan Massey (831k) have been busy since leaving the villa in July 2016. Despite a brief split, the couple reconciled, welcomed little Freddie and finally got hitched last year. The pair have brand deals with companies such as InTheStyle, Snuggy and NutriBuddy.

Runners up: Olivia Buckland (2.5m) and Alex Bowen (1.6m) are still very much loved up and even got married in Gosfield Hall in September, 2018. Olivia and Alex have been busy creating their own brand of clothes called EXEMPT and doing sponsored posts with the likes of boohoo.com and Cocoa Brown.

Again, the runners up Alex and Olivia have accumulated more followers than the crowned winners.

Season 3

Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies won Love Island in 2017

Winners: Amber Davies (1.6m) and Kem Cetinay (2.2m) split up just six months after being crowned the winners of Love Island 2017. Amber was starring in West End musical 9 to 5 and has announced she will be playing Campbell in Bring it on the Musical.

Kem has landed many tv gigs presenting segments on This Morning, Dancing on Ice as well as hosting a Love Island podcast.

Runners up: Camilla Thurlow (1.4m) and Jamie Jewitt (792k) are currently still going strong and are continuing to do lots of charity work and spreading the word about it on their social media platforms.

Third place:Olivia Attwood (1.8m) and Chris Hughes (2.2m) came in third on this season. They are no longer together. Olivia is now engaged to her footballer boyfriend Bradley Dack and Chris is dating Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson.

In this case, first and third place have more followers on Instagram but Camilla and Jamie chose not to go fully down the influencer route.

Season 4

Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham won Love Island in 2018

Winners: Dani Dyer (3.4m) and Jack Fincham (2.3m) were in a couple from the start of the 2018 season. It was no surprise that they were crowned winners in the finale. But our hearts were broken when it was announced that, despite their own spin off show and getting a dog together, they split in April 2019, just one day before Dani released her autobiography What Would Dani Do? My Guide to Living Your Best Life.

Jack surprised fans back in January after announcing he had become a dad to a little girl called Blossom. He is currently enjoying fatherhood out of the spotlight.

Runners up: Laura Anderson(1.5m) and Paul Knopsie (472k) weren’t together long, in fact, there’s been milk in our fridge longer than they lasted, but Laura is currently working hard on her fitness website So-LA, as well as working with Missy Empire and bringing out her own hair range with LA LOX.

Laura and Paul didn’t last long

Paul on the other hand is also working hard on brand deals with companies such as Remington and only a few days ago he appeared on the cover of Men’s Fitness magazine.

Jack and Dani have gathered up more Instagram followers than the runners up in this case.

Season 5

Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea won Love Island last year

Winners: Amber Gill (2.9m) and Greg O’Shea (1.3m) were a public favourite after he came into the villa and mended Amber’s broken heart as she was snubbed by Michael Griffiths for another girl in Casa Amor.

Despite winning the hearts of the public, they didn’t win each others hearts in the end and decided to end things just five weeks after jetting home from the Island.

Amber is now a brand ambassador for fashion website Miss Pap and Greg continues to do sponsored posts with brands such as Samsung, and Diet Coke.

Runners up: Molly Mae Hague (3.8m) and Tommy Fury (3m) came a close second on this season and we absolutely loved them. It is possible that combined they are the two islanders with the most Instagram followers out of every season of the show.

It was claimed Tommy was going to propose to Molly-Mae after Tyson’s win surrounded by his family

The couple are very much loved up, and live together in a stunning apartment in Manchester.

Molly Mae signed a huge deal with fashion brand PrettyLittleThing to be their latest Ambassador, she also gets paid to promote hair brand Beauty works.

Tyson Fury’s little brother Tommy is also in on the sponsored post bandwagon, doing posts with fashion Boohoo man.

Third place: The public fell in love with Ovie Soko (2.2m) after his gentlemanly ways in the villa, and after he was snubbed by Anna, he coupled up with India Reynolds (1.1m). The couple are no longer together but Ovie is living it up by working with Diet Coke and playing basketball while India works with Boohoo.com

Ovie and India

Fourth place: Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard despite placing fourth in the final, Maura and Curtis have had busy work schedules since leaving the villa.

Maura has a range with Ann Summers and recently was a contestant on Dancing on Ice.

Maura and Curtis recently split.

Curtis has been working with WW (formerly Weight Watchers), appearing in Drag Race UK, and working on BBC’s the greatest dancer.

Despite many loved up Insta snaps, it was only last night the pair announced that they have parted ways… no we’re not jokin’.

It would seem that season five was the most successful in terms of professional work, this may be down to the fact that social media is bigger now than it has ever been before.

It’s still to early to see about the season six winners and runners up, they are probably signing their contracts on the dotted line as we speak! But if the previous cast members are anything to go by, we’re sure Paige and Finn and Siannise and Luke T will make a pretty penny!

The finalists appeared happy after enduring a long flight back from South Africa
