Following Sony’s sudden launch of PS5 pre-orders that left keen customers scrambling, Microsoft has taken a more measured approach, announcing that pre-order for its latest and greatest the Xbox Series X (as well its more affordable Xbox Series S) will begin on 8am worldwide, on Tuesday 22 September.
Similar to the PS5, the Xbox Series X also has a November release date, on 10 November 2020.

How much does the Xbox Series X cost?
The Series X, which Microsoft touts as its “fastest” and “most powerful”, costs £449/$499. This is the same price as the current Xbox One X.
You can also pre-order it on a pay monthly basis via the Xbox All Access program, which bundles both the console with a 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for £28.99 per month with no upfront cost. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs £10.99 per month separately.

The Xbox Series X pre-orders will be available directly from Microsoft, as well as the number of other retailers (listed below).
Customers can also pre-order the Xbox Series X via the Xbox All Access subscription service, which is available from Game and Smyths Toys.

Where will the Xbox Series X be available?
Microsoft has confirmed that the Series X console will be available in 37 countries on 10 November, including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand.
Pre-orders across the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa also begin at 9AM CEST.
