For many PS5 players, the coolest thing about the console is the DualSense controller. The next-gen controller sports advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to provide a more immersive gaming experience.
It was initially available in white, but Sony has slowly released new colour options for the controller, including the most recent additions; Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple.

When will the new DualSense colour options be released?
The new DualSense colour options – Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue and Nova Pink – are all available to buy right now in the UK following a 14 January 2022 launch.
It’s a slightly different situation in the US though; it’s available from PlayStation Direct right now, but it won’t be available to buy at most US retailers until 11 February 2022.
How much do the new DualSense controllers cost?
The good news is that the new DualSense colour options cost the same as the other variants available.
The bad news is that the standard price is at the high end of the scale at £64.99/US$74.99, and don’t expect any kind of discounts or deals either – they’re a rarity when it comes to Sony’s controllers.
Where can I buy the new colourful DualSense controllers?
As we’ve alluded to, the new DualSense colour options are available to buy from PlayStation Direct and a handful of retailers in the UK and US right now, with more retailers set to sell the controllers by 11 February 2022.

How many colour variants of the DualSense controller are there?
While the PS5 shipped with the white DualSense controller at launch, Sony has since launched a handful of more attractive colour options for the next-gen controller. It started with Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, before expanding more recently to Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue and Nova Pink for a total of five.
