Where is Jesy Nelson? Little Mix star is missing from Strictly performance

Little Mix took to Strictly Come Dancing tonight as the girl group made a show-stopping performance – but Jesy Nelson was noticeably missing from the line-up.

Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall starred as the musical guests on Sunday night’s results show, singing their hit Break Up Song.

But band member Jesy was absent from the performance, prompting fans to raise concern about where she was.

It comes after a spokesperson for the band confirmed the singer was taking an extended break from Little Mix due to ‘medical reasons’.

Jesy had pulled out of the final of band’s BBC talent show The Search and in November as a representative of the band said that she was too ‘unwell’ to appear in the studio.

They told viewers: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix: The Search.

“She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs,” they revealed.

The singer also missed several appearances with the band, including the Jonathan Ross Show and their hosting gig at the MTV European Music Awards.

The star, who usually boasts an active social media presence, has not posted to Instagram since she got dressed up in costume for Halloween in October.

It’s not yet known when Jesy will make her return to Little Mix, but her representatives asked people to ‘please respect her privacy at this time.’

Jesy shot to fame as a member of Little Mix back in 2011 when they were formed on The X Factor, before going on to make history as the first group to win the show.

She won an NTA Award earlier this year for her mental health documentary Odd One Out.
