Where were the Brussels scenes filmed in ITV’s Belgravia?

The setting of the Battle of Waterloo and the Duchess of Richmond’s Ball all took place in Brussels.

But the shooting of these scenes was done much closer to home.

The cast of Belgravia trekked to a number of locations across London and Scotland for filming.

The series begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in Brussels and follows the scandalous lives of the Trenchard family.

The stately home Hopetoun House, which is situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh, served as a key filming location for the family’s Brussels home.

Other locations used to film Brussels scenes include Wrest Park in Bedfordshire.

The grounds were used for the chapel scenes in Belgravia.

Where were the London scenes filmed in ITV’s Belgravia?

Following its opening scenes in Belgravia, the drama jumps forward in time to London, where the Trenchards are living the high life attending parties thrown by duchesses.

Having made a heap of money during the Napoleonic Wars, James now lives in a beautiful town house with his family.

50 Moray Place, Edinburgh

50 Moray Place in Edinburgh was used to film the exterior shots for the Trenchard’s London home.

Manderston House, Scotland

Various scenes set inside the London family home were shot at Manderston House, a stately home in Berwickshire, in Scotland.

Syon House, west London

Syon House in London was also used to film scenes for the house’s interior.

What were the other filming locations for ITV’s Belgravia

West Wycombe House, Buckinghamshire

The drama will see Anne Trenchard enjoy an afternoon tea at the Duchess of Bedford’s London townhouse in one episode.

The scenes were filmed inside West Wycombe House, a lavish country house constructed during the 18th century in Buckinghamshire.

Wrotham Park, Hertfordshire

Key scenes featuring the fictional Lymington – the Earl of Brockenhurst’s ancestral country home in Hampshire – were shot at Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire.

TV fans will immediately recognise Wrotham Park as a location used in TV series Gosford Park, which was also written by Belgravia creator Julian Fellowes.

9 Moray Place, Edinburgh

Scenes featuring the Brockenhursts lavish London home were filmed at 9 Moray Place in Edinburgh.

Interior scenes were filmed at Manderston House, while 4 Moray Place was used for the Duchess’ bedroom.

Loseley Park, Guildford

Scenes featuring Anne Trenchard’s glorious Elizabethan manor house were shot at the Tudor manor house Loseley Park in Guildford.

The dazzling location was also used for the Oscar-winning film The Favourite as well as The Crown.

Hampton Court Palace

The grounds were used as a stand-in for some parks in central London including Hyde Park and Green Park.
