Theresa May is expected to give a speech outside of Number 10 around 1.45 pm today.

You can watch the former Prime Minister’s farewell speech here.

This comes after she has had a goodbye lunch at her former residence with staff.

Early this afternoon May took questions in parliament for the last time, known as PMQS.

In her final message to Jeremy Corbyn during her PMQs, Theresa May said: “One thing we both have in common is a commitment to our constituencies, I saw that after the terrorist in Finsbury Park Mosque in his constituency.

“Perhaps I could just finish my exchange with him by saying this: As a party leader who has accepted when her time was up, perhaps the time is now for him to do the same?”

May’s PMQs lasted 63 minutes, compared to David Cameron’s in 2017 lasting just 55 minutes.

At 4pm this afternoon, Boris Johnson is expected to arrive at Number 10 Downing Street and give his first speech as Britain’s Prime Minister after 5pm.
