When is It Chapter Two released and who is in the cast?

After a wait of two long years, it’s almost time to head back to Derry as It Chapter Two is due to hit cinemas this week.

The close-to-three-hour-long horror flick will be starring some pretty major Hollywood stars, and, if it’s anything like the first It movie (2017), then it’s sure to be utterly chilling.

As we eagerly await the drop date, here’s what you need to know about when you can go see It Chapter Two, and who’s fronting the cast.

When is It Chapter Two released?

It Chapter Two will be hitting cinemas on Friday 6 September 2019.

All of the actors who played the younger members of the Losers Club in the first It movie will be appearing again in this sequel, with the most recognisable of the bunch probably being Finn Wolfhard, who is best known for appearing in a little series called Stranger Things.

Meanwhile the older versions of the main characters are going to be portrayed by some pretty big names too.

You’ll likely recognise the Golden Globe-nominated James McAvoy from the likes of the X-Men franchise, where he played a young Professor X, as well as Split, Atonement, and The Last King of Scotland.

The Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning Jessica Chastain has appeared in such films as Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, Dark Phoenix and Crimson Peak, while the Emmy and Peabody award-winning Bill Hader has been in films including The Skeleton Twins, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Trainwreck.

Under all that clown makeup is Bill Skarsgård, brother to Alexander Skarsgård, who is reprising his role as Pennywise and who’s best-known for appearing in Deadpool 2, Allegiant, Hemlock Grove, and Atomic Blonde.
