Is there a better and funnier Christmas film than Will Ferrell’s masterpiece, Elf?
(Answer: No, there absolutely isn’t.)
Elf is about a young baby who accidentally ends up in Santa’s sleigh, only to be taken to the North Pole and eventually raised by elves.
Once all grown up, he finds himself missing something in life and goes searching for his real dad – bringing the festive cheer to everyone he meets… we just won’t mention Peter Dinklage’s character.
He eventually teams up with Zooey Deschanel and Daniel Tay to help save Christmas from certain disaster.
Every year, families flock to their TV sets to watch this festive favourite, but UK audiences need to know – when is it on? What time? And will seeing Buddy the elf eat other people’s gum from the street ever get old? (Again, that’s a firm no.)
Here’s everything you need to know…
When is Elf on TV this Christmas?
The first viewing of Elf happens Sunday 16 December at 6:10pm on ITV.
Feeling extra festive? Catch it again on 22 December on ITV2 at 5:20pm. Not enough? Try Christmas Eve at 5:15pm on ITV.
Still not satisfied?!
Christmas Day at 4:10pm on ITV2 is your very last chance to watch Will and Zooey work their magic.
If you’ve missed all of these showings, unfortunately Elf is not currently on Netflix or any of the major streaming platforms this year.
You can, however, watch it on Amazon Prime video if you’re willing to part with £3.49.
