What time does Children in Need start?

Children in Need returns to our screens on Friday, November 15, 2019.

We don’t know what time the telethon will start yet.

However, last year the show was broadcast across BBC One and BBC Two at 7pm.

Coverage started with a One Show special at 7pm focusing on the conclusion of the Rickshaw Challenge.

After that the main show continued on BBC One from 7.30pm to 10pm – before moving to BBC Two from 10pm-10.40pm.

Who is presenting Children in Need 2019?

A seasoned professional at presenting, Tess has been the main presenter of Children In Need since 2016 and a co-presenter since 2008.

“I am intensely proud to be supporting BBC Children in Need again this year,” Daly said.

“In the last year alone, BBC Children in Need has been able to make a real difference to 600,000 young lives in communities the length and breadth of the UK – that’s incredible, and it is all down to people up and down the UK coming together to help make a difference.

“I hope they do it again this year, because it really will change young lives.”

She also won the special Children in Need version of Strictly Come Dancing against Terry Wogan where she was partnered with Anton du Beke.

She is married to fellow presenter Vernon Kay and they have two daughters – Amber and Phoebe.

Rylan Clark-Neal

Marvin Humes, 33, has been a co-presenter on Children In Need since 2016.

He is married to Rochelle from The Saturdays who has hosted the annual telethon since 2014.

Rochelle is a former member of S Club Juniors and The Saturdays.

In 2018 she is standing in for Holly Willoughby as a presenter on This Morning.

What celebrities are taking part?

With celebrity supporters of the cause including Alan Carr, Gary Barlow and Sam Smith, we can expect 2019 to be a star studded line up.

The theme for this year’s Children in Need is  ‘Get Together’, which is hoping those looking to raise money for Children in Need will make it a team effort – be it three-legged races, bake sales or quizzes and even daring challenges.

Alongside this year’s presenters, Fleur East, Danny Jones, Ashley Roberts and Laura Whitmore are all joining forces to support the campaign.

5 live presenter Laura Whitmore called on the Great British Public to Get Together to make a difference.

She said: “The power of people uniting is remarkable, amazing things really can happen when we work together – and so I hope people across the UK have a great time getting together to support BBC Children in Need this year.”

A staple of public’s support for Children in Need is the annual single.

But in 2019 we have a whole new charity album Got It Covered on the way, from some of the country’s biggest actors, including Oscar-winner Olivia Colman.
