It’s been a while now since we had any new music from Adele, but in that time she’s barely been out of the headlines.

Whether it’s her weight loss or just her showing up to sing at a friend’s wedding, the singer is still as popular as ever.

And now it seems she might just have let slip information about new music being on the horizon.

But just when will we get to hear it? Here’s what we know…

When is Adele releasing her new album?

There’s no official date yet for Adele’s next album – which is the follow-up to her previous smash hit 25.

However, the lady herself might just have let slip the very important news that her new album will be coming out in September (which isn’t very far away at all).

Adele was officiating a wedding for friends at the Mason’s Arms in Battersea over the weekend, and sung at the bash, delivering her hit Rolling In The Deep as well as a cover of Candi Staton’s Young Hearts Run Free.

And in a clip doing the rounds on social media, she can also be heard telling the room: ‘Expect my album in September.’

We cannot pretend we’re not a little excited by this – and even though there has been no official confirmation, it does come after her agent Lucy Dickins and manager Jonathan Dickins revealed that she should be releasing new music in 2020 – with Jonathan saying: ‘The sooner the better.’

When was Adele’s last album released?

Adele’s last album, 25, was released in 2015.

It sold 3.5m copies in the UK and over 22m copies worldwide, as well as winning the Grammy Awards for best pop vocal album and album of the year. She also took the coveted British album of the year prize at the Brit Awards.

The album also gave us the chart-topping single Hello as well as the top ten hits When We Were Young and Send My Love (To Your Lover).

Her previous album 21 was released in 2011, while debut 19 hit the shelves in 2008.

Adele teased new music as she celebrated her 31st birthday last year, saying: ‘Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually ?

‘Bunch of f****ing savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you. Chin up eh ❤️.’
