What shirt number will Aaron Wan-Bissaka wear at Man Utd? All the options revealed

Manchester United agreed a £50million deal with Crystal Palace for their right-back on Wednesday afternoon.

The 21-year-old will undergo a medical at United’s Carrington training ground before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract.

Wan-Bissaka’s deal with the Red Devils is said to be worth up to £80,000-a-week, a staggering eight times what he earned at Palace.

With his arrival at Old Trafford seemingly imminent, attention has turned to what number Wan-Bissaka will wear at the Theatre of Dreams.

The England Under-21 international wore the No.29 shirt during his time at Selhurst Park, and that number is available should he want it.

The full-back can also choose to wear the No.19, 21, 26, 27, 28, 30, 32 33, 34 35 or 37 shirts.

Given his defensive position, Wan-Bissaka could also take the vacant No.5 shirt.

However, it’s unlikely he’ll be given that number due to the fact United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is on the lookout for a new centre-back.

Wan-Bissaka will be the second signing of Solskjaer’s reign, the first being Daniel James.

The south Londoner has been tipped to achieve big things, with his former coach believing he’ll develop into a top player at Old Trafford.

“I look at Manchester United who are on the up,” Colin Omogbehin told The Sun.

“They have a youngish squad and he’d fit into the way they want to play.

“In Ole Gunnar Solskjaer there is a good young boss who has a history of dealing with young players.

“When Ole retired from playing he worked with United’s younger squads, so will know how to bring through players of Aaron’s type.

“That would be perfect for him. He’d play every week — or certainly get a lot of games to keep developing.”

Wan-Bissaka’s first game in a United shirt could come against Perth Glory on July 17.
