Paige Turley may have won Love Island with Finley Tapp, becoming a celebrity in her own right, but that hasn’t stopped the questions about her ex Lewis Capaldi from rolling in.
We first became aware of their relationship when Paige Turley entered the Love Island villa, saying her claim to fame was her relationship with Lewis.
So what have Paige and Lewis said about one another, when did they date and did she inspire any of the Scottish singer’s songs?

Upon her arrival in the Love Island villa, Paige, 22, addressed claims that Someone You Loved was about her but played her cards close to her chest.
She said: ‘One of my ex-boyfriends is actually Lewis Capaldi. We dated for a year. According to the papers the song Someone You Loved was about me. ‘Lewis I’m so sorry, I must have been a b***h to you.’
Before she went into the villa she told The Sun: ‘It’s a great song. It’s relatable, and it would probably fit right in. That will be my walk-in song, probably.’
Lewis, 23, broke his silence a week later on radio show, The Edge, in New Zealand, joking that she should give some of her prize money to him.
The Scottish singer said: ‘She never told me she was going on it,’ Lewis conceded. ‘It would have been a nice heads up. But I mean, fair play, good luck to her.’
He continued: ‘I’ll be f***ing watching it. Aye, I’ll be watching it, I’ll be going “go on Paige, come on”. When she’s on a date with a boy, “come on, kiss him”. I hope she wins.’
‘The prize is like 50 grand. I’ll be like, “well, listen… they asked you to go on it, right… I’m not saying I’m the reason. But also, slide me two grand”.’
In case you’re wondering – she didn’t slide him any of her winnings, saying that she won’t have any money once she’s ‘paid off her debts.’
Lewis then went on to clear up any misconceptions that his smash single Someone You Loved was about his Love Island ex at The Brits.
While accepting his Brit award for song of the year, he explained: ‘Contrary to popular belief…a lot of people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend, who you can now see every night on Love Island.
‘But it’s actually about my grandmother who has sadly passed away a few years ago, and I hope to God ITV don’t contact her to be on a reality dating TV show.’
Lewis did, however, admit that Hold Me While You Wait is about her, which tbf, is pretty darned romantic.
Paige was quite blasé about the whole thing, telling Heat magazine this weekend: ‘I did [hear about his comments]. I’m actually yet to see it.’
And her reaction to finding out she was the inspiration behind his other hit?
‘Oh, really? See, I’ve not really caught up. That’s deep,’ she commented.
When did Lewis Capaldi and Paige Turley date?
Paige and Lewis dated on and off – for about a year – before finally calling it a day in 2016.
The pair, who met at college in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, claimed the split was ‘amicable.’
Lewis has reportedly enjoyed a string of dates with Scottish student Catherine Halliday while Paige is loved up with Finn.
