What happens when you die? Woman believes she met GOD 'There is definitely a higher power'

A person named Carolyn became gravely ill to the point where she was “immediately put in the intensive care unit.” Carolyn temporarily died for a brief period, but it was in that time that she believes she saw God.

Carolyn described the afterlife as a kaleidoscope of colours, where she also believes she was reunited with her deceased parents.

Since her near death experience, Carolyn has no doubt there is a God, and has now dedicated her life to him.

She wrote on the Near Death Experience Research Foundation: “I was looking into a huge kaleidoscope.

“There were colours of soft blue, pink, and yellows. They were all spinning around and then there was a big pop.

“Then it went black. All of a sudden, a bright soft light appeared in the distance. I could see a figure in the light but it was too far away to make it out at first.

“Standing right in front of me was my mother, father, and brother.

“My parents looked thirty years old and my brother about sixteen. The figure in the back ground started to come closer.

“As it did, I then realised it was God. He told me I am not ready to come home.

Jimo Borjigin, PhD, associate professor of molecular and integrative physiology and associate professor of neurology, said: “This study, performed in animals, is the first dealing with what happens to the neurophysiological state of the dying brain.

“We reasoned that if near-death experience stems from brain activity, neural correlates of consciousness should be identifiable in humans or animals even after the cessation of cerebral blood flow.”

Essentially, if the brain is more active, one might have vivid visions, leading them to believe they had seen the afterlife.

Dr Borjigin added: “The prediction that we would find some signs of conscious activity in the brain during cardiac arrest was confirmed with the data.”
