What happened to the cast of Scottish reality show Glow?

Back in 2016 and after a lot of hype, a brand new Glasgow-based reality show called Glow launched online

The online production was set to follow a cast of 11 trendy Scots around on their day-to-day life, ultimately a Scottish version of The Only Way is Essex.

But the series itself did not live up to drummed up expectations, and along with a combination of bad reviews, the obvious small production budget and low ratings, Glow was cancelled in the second season.

The show, which was brought to life by production company GRTV , flopped despite claims they had received thousands of views.

A few of the cast were mocked by the Scottish public at the time, but what are they up to now?

Brian Matthews

The 36 year-old nightclub owner has not been shy to a bit of reality TV since Glow was axed.

He has since appeared on MTV’s Just Tattoo of Us where the die-hard Rangers fan ended up having a Celtic Football Club badge tattooed on his leg, courtesy of his on/off girlfriend Victoria Obahor after it was revealed that he cheated on her with over 25 women.

The pair then went on to appear on the Channel 4 show Sex Tape where couples make a sex tape and watch it back (think adult Gogglebox).

Brian also hit headlines last year when he was spotted in Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza with a questionable brown stain on his shorts which he later claimed was food. He and Victoria are still together.

Anton Danyluk

After appearing in the programme with his ex-girlfriend Denise Wilkie ( who he allegedly cheated on) Anton appeared on Love Island 2019 where he coupled up with London makeup artist Belle Hassan.

The couple have since split up and Anton is focusing on his business as a personal trainer. He’s still single ladies, if bum shaving is your thing – slide into his DMs.

James English

James English has been very busy since the show ended. He has launched a very successful podcast called the ‘Anything Goes Show with James English’ where he invites gangsters, comedians, actors, footballers, porn stars, politicians and many more, discussing difficult and sometimes controversial topics.

Some of his guests have included Paul Ferris, Tommy Robinson and The Scheme star Marvin Baird.

English also created a documentary highlighting homelessness in Glasgow which went viral.

As far as we know he is single – but in 2017 he briefly dated ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona.

The stunning blonde from Uddingston went through a difficult time on Glow when it was revealed that her then boyfriend Anton had been unfaithful to her.

However there were no bad feelings and Denise even spoke out to support Anton when he appeared on Love Island last year. She said: “I wish him all the best and I’m grateful we are in such a nice way with each other, you can actually have an ex who you can be friends with!”

Denise recently got engaged to her boyfriend Ryan Jackson and is currently working as a makeup artist in a busy salon in Ballieston.

James Drummond

The Hamilton roofer, also known as Drummy, once branded himself as the Scottish Mark Wright but since Glow got the chop, Drummy has been living a quiet life as a family man.

He has been keeping busy running his own roofing business, being a dad to adorable little Harper and being a husband to wife Vicky. He also plays football for Hamilton Accies 35s.

Paddy ‘Geezer’ Reilly

Ladies man Paddy has always been in to fitness and regularly posts online about his passion for boxing.

On Glow, Paddy was known for his bromance with Drummy and the pair were branded as the Scottish Ant and Dec, they never made it to Hollywood unfortunatley.

You can still watch episodes of Glow on YouTube but the official website has since been dissolved.
