What happened tonight?

After Maura Higgins and Anna Vakili were sped off on their dates with newcomers Tom and Jordan, the remainder of the coupled-up islanders were worried about the task they’d been given.

Each pair would pick the couple they believed was least compatible, and the two who received the most votes would risk being kicked off the island.

Molly-Mae seemed sure that her fellow contestants would choose her and Tommy, telling the boxer: “I do think we’re a bit in trouble. I think there will definitely be people picking us.”

Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan shared their concerns with one another before each couple gave their answers through a simple text message.

While tough decisions were going on back at the villa, Maura and Anna headed out on their dinner dates with the new boys while the Kim Kardashian lookalike stressed how happy she was to hear that Tom is 29-years-old.

“Most of the guys in the villa are from twenty to twenty-four. I’m twenty-eight,” she gushed while the handsome hunk returned the favour with the compliments.

During her date with Tom, Maura didn’t even hesitate to answer his question regarding where she stood with Tommy, saying: “Don’t go there. I’m not into Tommy anymore.”

And while Maura’s date appeared to have gone well, Jordan used the chance to compliment Anna on her good looks, adding that the pharmacist could easily pass for a model.

The new boys received a warm welcome upon entering the villa before being filled in on the challenge the islanders were set while they were gone.

Maura gave the impression that she couldn’t have cared less as she continued to focus her attention on Tom, gleefully saying in the Beach Hut: “Sorry huns, I was enjoying my champagne with hunky Tom. Living the dream.”

While Anton Danyluk is told that Tom’s enthusiasm for both Maura and Elma Pazar could demolish his odds with his coupled-up accomplice, Anna dished the insights regarding her date with Jordan.

With that said, Yewande Biala decided to confront Elma the next day about Tom saying that he was attracted to the nail technician, and Elma made it clear that “he’s a really nice boy. I’d get on with him.”

Maura overheard the conversation and later told her pal Lucie that she didn’t want to be competing for Tom’s attention – especially not with Elma – and subsequently finding herself in a love triangle again.

Later that night, the islanders played a game of dares around the fire pit: they had to transfer a playing card to each other, only using their mouths. Those who dropped the card then had to complete a dare written on it.

Anton was the first to drop his card and his challenge was to have a three-way kiss. He picked Elma and Maura, which made things cumbersome given their situation with Tom.

And by the end, Tommy was also determined to let his feelings be shown to Molly-Mae by telling her how much he liked her – it wasn’t long before he requested a kiss from her, but did she give in?

Yup, she sure did.
