Halloween is here! Whether you’re spending the night trick-or-treating, handing out candy to kids, or enjoying a nice warm evening inside, we hope your evening is full of fright. And what better way to bring on the horror than by playing a scary video game? So, since I want to scare the pants off of myself and my guests tonight, what are some of your favorite scary games we could play?
Personally, my mind goes to Until Dawn. While the overall atmosphere is sort of cheesy, the possibility of losing one of the characters at any moment makes the game feel tenser. Having the ability to choose what happens in the game also adds to the stress as you’re not totally sure if your decision will have an impact on what will happen in the end.
So what about you guys? What are the best scary video games you’ve played, and which are your favorites? Some more obvious choices might be Silent Hill or Resident Evil. But maybe there’s something that’s not as well known. Either way, if you plan on playing them tonight, try not to get too spooky. The last thing you want to do is bring in any unwanted spirits on Halloween.
