Westlife excited to debut new single at first big hometown gig in eight years

Westlife are buzzing about performing their brand new single at their first big hometown gig in eight years.

The Irish boyband are returning to Dublin tonight as part of their Twenty Tour.

During the special gig at Croke Park, they’ll perform their new song Dynamite, which was co-written for their upcoming album Spectrum by hitmaker Ed Sheeran , for the first time ever.

Singer Mark Feehily told Mirror Online: “It is almost eight years since we last played together at Croke Park so we’re all excited. It is going to be very special and probably emotional. It is going to be great to perform our new single too. I can’t wait.”

Westlife will perform their new song live for the first time tonight

The new single follows the success of Westlife’s comeback as the boy band prepares to release new album Spectrum in November.

The new track, co-written by Sheeran and Steve Mac, is already soaring in the charts, and will be heard live for the first time by thousands of adoring fans when the lads perform tonight and tomorrow.

They said: “Dynamite has got such an enchanting melody that starts off subtly and ends up quite big and euphoric.

“It’s about how falling in love creates such glow and light in someone’s life that it literally lights up the world around them. It’s an upbeat, fresh summer song and you could say it reflects the energy of our comeback.

The show will also be broadcast live in cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian’s return to music has been a phenomenal success.

The first two singles from the forthcoming new album have amassed over 200 million streams globally. The tracks have also been the band’s most successful radio records.
