West Brom bid to buy Grady Diangana from West Ham for fee rising to £18m

West Brom have stepped up their pursuit of Grady Diangana by offering West Ham a deal that could rise to £18m with add-ons.

Diangana spent last season on loan at West Brom and his impressive contribution to their promotion has prompted Slaven Bilic to try to bring the 22-year-old winger back on a permanent basis.

If West Ham sell Diangana, a product of their academy, they could try to take Saïd Benrahma from Brentford to bolster their forward options. Diangana made 30 Championship appearances for West Brom last season, scoring eight goals.

Fulham manager Parker signs three-year deal

Fulham have rewarded their manager Scott Parker with a new three-year deal after he secured promotion back to the Premier League.

The former England international was named caretaker manager after Claudio Ranieri was sacked in February 2019. Parker was given the permanent job despite the club’s relegation, and led Fulham out of the Championship at the first attempt via the play-offs.

“I’m delighted to have signed a new deal which shows mutual faith and commitment,” Parker said after signing on until 2023. “I’m pleased with the hard work we have all carried out, which resulted in achieving our objective of promotion.

“Signing a new deal provides stability and an opportunity to keep on developing the team,” the 39-year-old added. “There is still a lot of hard work ahead of us, and we’ll always be striving to improve and progress every day.”

Fulham owner Shahid Khan said: “We believed in Scott Parker when we signed him as a player in 2013, and we believed in him as our caretaker manager. Our belief and confidence in Scott is stronger than ever today and is evident in this new three-year contract, which is fully deserved.”
