WES Nelson, Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker, and Zara McDermott have signed up to X Factor: Celebrity.
The 2018 Love Island stars are amongst the 15 acts confirmed for Simon Cowell’s show after the music mogul plucked many of the show’s stars from the world of reality TV.
Simon, 59, admitted he pushed for a “huge change” after the likes of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing has shunned Love Island stars in their line-ups.
The foursome will compete against fellow Towie legends Gemma Collins, James Argent and Megan McKenna, as well as former X Factor winners Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.
Simon told The Sun:”The time feels right, and it will be a huge change. I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years.'”
Wes revealed his music ambition earlier this year when he told The Sun he’s “caught the performance bug” and is “singing all the time”.
The former Love Island hunk revealed he is in talks for a music career and fellow Dancing On Ice contestant and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden had taken him under his wing.
In an exclusive interview ahead of Sunday’s final, he said: “I’ve caught the performance bug now. When you finish a routine, you get that overwhelming feeling.
“Performing is so enjoyable and I see why everyone loves it now. I sang on Love Island but producers never showed it because of copyright reasons. We were singing all the time.”
Meanwhile, Gemma and her beau Arg could be set for a public showdown as they battle to see who is the best singer on the celebrity version of The X Factor.
The Essex power couple have caught the eye of producers and bosses are apparently desperate to sign the pair up to compete against one another later this year.
A TV insider said told the Daily Star: “Talks are ongoing and nothing has been agreed just yet, but execs think there’s a good chance they’ll get them to sign up.”
And as it’s no secret the couple have a fiery on-off relationship, producers think it could make for unmissable viewing.
Meanwhile, Leona originally competed on the third series of The X Factor back in 2006, with her stunning vocal abilities going on to win her the competition.
She won a £1 million recording contract with Simon’s record label, Syco music.
Her winning single was a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s A Moment Like This, which peaked at number one for four weeks on the UK singles chart.
