Vanessa Bryant has paid tribute to her late husband Kobe on the first Father’s Day since his tragic death.

After celebrating her youngest daughter Capri’s first birthday on Saturday, the 38-year-old took to social media once again to remember the NBA sporting legend.

Sharing a beautiful photo of Kobe with their four daughters, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, Capri, Vanessa penned: ‘Happy Father’s Day to the BEST daddy in the world.

‘We miss you so much. We love you forever and always.

‘Love, Nani, Gigi, BB, Koko and VB.’

Kobe and Gianna tragically passed away back in January in a helicopter crash.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Vanessa has also recently been calling for the Kobe and Gianna Bryant Helicopter Safety Act to be passed following their deaths.

It would require helicopters carrying six or more people to contain important safety equipment including a Terrain Awareness and Warning System, a flight data recorder and a cockpit voice recorder, according to TMZ.

Showing her support, Vanessa said in a statement: ‘I strongly urge that the United States Congress pass a federal law that would improve the safety of helicopters operating in this country.

‘I believe there is a chance that Kobe and Gianna would still be alive today if their helicopter had been equipped with the safety equipment required by this pending federal legislation.

‘I believe that these safety measures will save many lives. As passengers traveling on aircrafts we assume that proper safety measures are in order to prevent accidents from happening before we fly. It’s unfortunate that this is not the case and aircraft companies must do their part to protect lives.’
