Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has told Crystal Palace ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka to ’embrace’ the pressure of playing for ‘one of the best’ clubs in the world.

The 21-year-old is expected to complete a move to Old Trafford in the next 48 hours and is in Manchester today to undergo a medical with the Red Devils.

United are set to make Wan-Bissaka the most expensive English defender of all-time in a deal that could rise to as much as £55million.

Rooney, who recently bemoaned United’s approach in the transfer market, has told the defender to enjoy playing for the club and to educate himself on its history.

‘Enjoy it. Play with no fear,’ said Rooney.

‘Manchester United’s a fantastic club. One of, if not the best football club in the world. You have to embrace it, embrace the culture of United.

‘Learn the history and do your best. I’m sure he’ll be fine. The coaches there will be telling him all of this’
