Wayne Lineker trolled after getting 'engaged' to Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry

Ibiza club king Wayne Lineker was trolled after claiming he had become engaged to Celebs Go Dating co-star Chloe Ferry -and posting up a picture of himself and Chloe with a ring on her finger.

Wayne wrote: ‘”She said YES! Love you @chloegshore1.”

The announcement on Instagram raised eyebrows because although the two became close friends in the mansion, fans believe it’s some sort of a prank by them both.

Wayne’s own son Sean Lineker wrote: “Congrats! Can’t believe we had to keep this secret for so long !! Xx”

And Curtis Pritchard added: “Go on Wayne congratulations, big man, hahah love bro love!” while Billie Jean Blackett, also on the telly show wrote: “You guys deserve to be happy.”

Chloe, who appeared to wear the same ring in a post yesterday, also shared Wayne’s story on her Instagram, but her next story was about a vibrator she couldn’t wait to try out, leading some to speculate that it was just a joke.

Wayne had shared a picture with Chloe previously saying: “Shame I’m not allowed to date the celebs.”

Chloe is also said to have been dating model Kieran Bishop, who she met on Celebs Go Dating, leaving lots of unanswered questions

Some followers trolled 58 year old Wayne for being too old for 25 year old Chloe.

One person wrote: “It’s the fact Wayne Lineker was 33 when Chloe Ferry was born and now they’re engaged.”

Another joked: “I can’t believe 58 year old Wayne Lineker has proposed to 25 year old Chloe Ferry. She’s far too old for him.”

While another added: “Chloe ferry getting engaged to Wayne lineker is the biggest plot twist of 2021.”

After one follower said Chloe was “marrying an old man,” Wayne replied: “Ageism is not a nice thing, you really shouldn’t try to publicly humiliate someone.”

He added that those who’ve suffered abuse can contact No Excuse For Abuse for help and guidance.
