Match preview

Watford head coach Nigel Pearson has been impressed with new signing Ignacio Pussetto since his arrival at the club.

The Hornets manager said: “He’s fitted in very well. He’s a very likeable young man. He’s settled in very quickly and gives us options in wide areas.

“We’ve seen during recent games we’ve played with a lot of pace and variance in wide areas and he gives us another option there.”

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed he thinks his side need to sign a striker this month following the injury to Harry Kane.

He explained: “Do we need a striker? Yes, if possible, yes. But it has to be a positive situation for us.

“In this moment we have these attacking players that of course are very good: Son (Heung-min), Lucas (Moura), (Erik) Lamela, (Giovani) Lo Celso, Dele Alli. Of course they’re very good but we miss that target man.

“So if it’s possible then we are doing everything possible. It’s not easy but we’re trying to add players to the squad.”

Ahead of the match Tottenham also confirmed Hugo Lloris is now back in training.

The France international has been out of action since the October 5 match against Brighton in the Premier League.

Left-back Ben Davies and midfielder Tanguy Ndombele are also on their way back from injury and should be available shortly.
