WATCH: Tourists in China slammed after they’re caught doing this cruel activity

Tourists in China have been caught on camera doing a thoughtless and alarming deed. The group were filmed enjoying a day out near Dian Lake close to Kunming, Yunnan. However, their desire to catch the experience on camera led to a rather unpleasant consequence.

A second woman stands with the man as they look at the bird and attempt to feed it.

She then ducks away in horror as the seagull makes its bid for freedom.

The bird flies away and the group of tourist surge towards the railing to watch.

The man continues to hold out a piece of bread, seemingly in an attempt to lure it back.

The footage comes to an end as it pans to the huge flock of gulls flying away over the water.

Other people at the scene are said to have shouted at the tourist to stop their handling of the seagull.

A woman said:” You cannot treat it (seagull) like that!” and a man added: “What are you doing?”

It’s believed the seagulls were alarmed by the episode and did not return to the scene for around an hour.

The holidaymakers can be seen in the video – which has rapidly gone viral – sitting at tables and chairs.

The swimming pool water sloshes across the floor yet they remain drinking and stationary as though nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

The funny video was filmed by Calum Lawson, a marine engineer from Newcastle. He called the cruise passengers on the P&O ship: “Typical Brits.”

Lawson captioned the clip: “Best part of this video is the amount of typical Brits so un-phased by any danger that occurs because ‘they’re on their jollies’ and nothing can spoil that… b****** ships flooding man (sic).”
