Watch the shocking moment policeman PUNCHES Slovan Bratislava fan to ground amid crowd trouble after Wolves match

SLOVAN BRATISLAVA fans clashed with police after Thursday’s defeat at Wolves and footage has emerged of a policeman punching one supporter to the ground.

Three arrests were made as 1,000 Slovakian supporters travelled to the West Midlands for the Europa League game.

The allegations involved one fan throwing coins, another making a racial comment and just a lone supporter arrested for assaulting an officer, despite the scenes captured on camera.

In a tense stand-off between the authorities and supporters outside Molineux, the group are initially seen backing off before charging.

In the ensuing melee a fan faces down a policeman and is knocked to the ground after a single punch.

Batons are also seen being used as the officers fight back the violent rush.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson has confirmed that they are still trying to “establish the full circumstances” of the clash.

As quoted by the Express & Star, they added: “There were pockets of disorder during the evening which included a group of away supporters surging towards home fans forcing police officers to intervene.

“An officer was assaulted as officers contained the volatile away following.

“A 36-year-old man from Slovakia was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer and remains in police custody for questioning.”

Of the 1,000 who headed to England for Wolves’ 1-0 win, 400 are said to have gone without tickets to the match.

There was also a large presence in the town centre before the kick-off that police chiefs described on social media as “very good natured”.

The Premier League club also won the away fixture in Bratislava last month after the hosts were ordered to play behind closed doors.

Thousands of fans still attended under a UEFA rule that allows children under the age of 14 to attend in the adults’ stead.
