WATCH: Shocking moment ‘disruptive’ plane passenger ‘HEADBUTTS and punches’ police officer

A Jetstar flight from Sydney to Melbourne in Australia was disrupted when a plane passenger began displaying aggressive behaviour. The flier – identified only as a 26-year-old man – allegedly began acting abusively towards cabin crew prior to the Saturday flight at 4pm. His disruptive behaviour is said to have escalated before take-off and other passengers called for him to be taken off, reported local television channel Nine News. When he refused to leave the plane, Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers arrived on the scene.

Shocking footage shows the man fighting with the AFP as he attempts to shake them off.

Then, in an alarming move, he appears to head-butt a policeman twice as he thrashes around.

According to Nine News, he even “threw a couple of punches” in the altercation.

Two of the officers are believed to have been injured amid the violence.

Nine News reported that a passenger they spoke to said one of the policemen was knocked to the ground by the man and lay there for about a minute before he was helped up to his feet.

The passenger was then removed from the aircraft and charged with multiple offences, including assaulting and resisting police.

He will appear in Sydney Downing Centre Local Court on 23 July, reported Daily Mail Australia.

An AFP spokesman told the newspaper: “A 26-year-old male passenger on board a flight to Melbourne allegedly became disruptive. AFP officers attended and removed the passenger from the plane.”

“In the course of the man being removed from the flight, he allegedly assaulted two officers. Neither required medical treatment.

“Inquiries are ongoing at this stage and no further comment can be made.”

A Jetstar spokesperson also told Daily Mail Australia: “A passenger boarding a Jetstar flight in Sydney became disruptive and abusive prior to takeoff.”

“Our crew attempted to calm the passenger however after the man’s behaviour continued the crew contacted the AFP and the passenger was escorted off the flight.”

Express.co.uk has also contacted Jetstar for further comment on the incident.

Yesterday a video emerged of a group of men partying and drinking beer in the aisles of a Ryanair plane on a 6am flight ahead of a Benidorm lads holiday.

The clip shows one of the men eagerly guzzling beer from a beer bong as his friends cheer him on. The others are seen pouring beer into the funnel as they shout loudly.

The man drinking even ends up lying on his back in the aisle while he drinks.
