WATCH: Plane passengers shock with very extreme response to coronavirus fears on flight

Coronavirus continues to scare Britons as the number of cases and the death toll rises. Many people are being extremely cautious in their bid to avoid catching the deadly virus. Some are taking greater precautions than others, however.

The two are completely covered in plastic as they minimise their contact with the outside world.

The man is wearing a clear plastic covering all around him while his partner wears a pink plastic covering.

They have gone even further in their attempts to not catch coronavirus.

Both are also wearing facemasks as well as plastic gloves.

DON’T MISS

The pair look to be the only people on the plane taking such drastic measures.

Others around them are dressed normally as they sit in their seats.

The footage was shared on social media by Twitter user @Alyss423.

She captioned the video: “Currently behind me on the plane. When you super scared of #coronavirus #COVID2019.”

According to MailOnline, the flight in question was from Sydney to Hamilton Island in Australia.

The video has attracted much attention and Twitter users have been quick to share their opinions on the travellers’ unusual outfits.

Some were concerned that the pair might well suffocate due to the plastic covering.

“I cannot be mad. But it looks like he may asphyxiate himself!” one wrote.

“When you believe coronavirus is deadlier than self-asphyxiation,” another added.

A third commented: “Weren’t we all told not to put plastic bags over our heads as a kid?”

Others thought the pair were probably being pretty wise. “I don’t blame them. I would,” one wrote.

“He’ll have the last laugh a few months from now – when he’s the only one whose lungs still work well enough to laugh,” another posted.

Some looked at the practicalities of travelling in such an ensemble. “That plastic has to be noisy,” one person tweeted.
