Watch: Plane passengers branded ‘feral heathens’ after ‘disrespectful’ behaviour

Flights are often an opportunity for relaxation after a fast-paced airport experience and are even seen as glamorous. Passengers can kick back and relax with a drink in hand and watch some inflight entertainment on the way to far-flung destinations. However, this heavenly image can soon turn into a nightmare at the hands of others in the cabin.

The video has already amassed 68,060 views at the time of writing, and Instagram users have flocked to the comments to share their opinions on the scene.

One user wrote: “BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING… these people shouldn’t be allowed to fly ever again.”

While another said: “I am shocked. This behaviour should be banned. Have they no respect?”

While the mess was enough to leave passengers reeling, it was the shoes that really confused people.

One travel enthusiast questioned: “There were more shoes in the row in front. How do people leave their SHOES?!?!”

She posted an image of the scene on Twitter on 8 November.

Darwin vented: “Just arrived at our premium economy seat to New York (£4,700) to greeted by filth and someone’s sock. Outraged doesn’t quite cover it. #disgrace #filthy #ba #britishairways #outrage”

While it was noted that the £4,700 cost covered two return tickets, the others in Business Class, the film producer still said she felt it was “extortionate” given the cleanliness.

However, British Airways refuted the claim that the seat was in this state upon boarding.

Speaking to Express.co.uk a spokesperson said: “We pride ourselves on the quality of the service and experience offered across all cabins on our aircraft. We know that our customers value a comfortable cabin, so our aircraft are cleaned after every flight.”
