Watch Lewis Capaldi's EPIC Glastonbury entrance as he takes Noel Gallagher beef to new heights


This is the moment Lewis Capaldi hilariously trolls Noel Gallagher in EPIC fashion as he comes on stage at Glastonbury .

In on the all-time great festival entrances, a clip of the Oasis songwriter ripping into the Scots singing sensation during an interview played on the big screens.

The moment Noel, 52, asked “Who’s this Capaldi fella?” during an interview was put on repeat as the crowd waited for the 22-year-old star.

Snaps of Lewis, from West Lothian, holding his No1 album award was shown next to the footage.

But it was the sight of the man himself sent his audience into meltdown.

Wearing a parka, bucket hat and stylish sunglasses, he swaggered onto the stage in Gallagher-esque fashion.

He then stripped off the coat to revealed a t shirt with Noel’s face in a love heart printed on it, before launching into his much-anticipated Other Stage set with his hit Grace.

It comes after a brilliant back and forth between the two singers last week.

Gallagher when he went on an expletive-filled rant about the state of modern music during a sit down on Radio X.

At one point he asks: “Who is this Capaldi fella? Who the f**k is that idiot?”

Posing next to a clip of the interview on his laptop on Sunday June 16, Lewis  says: “Camaaan! F****n’ Caman! That’s me, I’ve peaked, slagged aff by Noel Gallagher. It’s me. What a day. What a f****n’ day.

“Number 1 single? Who gives a f**k. Number 1 album? Who gives a f**k. I just got slagged off by Noel Gallagher. Dreams are coming true.”

“It’s Father’s Day and I’m being slagged aff by a man who’s old enough to be my da. And I’ve never been more happy. Happy Father’s Day Noel.”

Scottish radio show host Gordon Smart, from Edinburgh, comes to the Someone You Loved star’s defence, telling Noel: “I’m going to stand up for him, I think he’s funny as f**k.

“He’s a good lad – you’d like him as well.”

The rant doesn’t seem to dampen Lewis’ mood, flashing his trademark goofy smile as he listens to Oasis hit Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds track In the Heat of the Moment.

At one point he gives the camera a cheeky wink.

Lewis continues: “I love Noel Gallagher and he’s just slagged me aff. What a day. In fact I’m getting my haircut.”

He then trolls through pictures of Noel’s trademark haircut from the 90s while saying “that’s the one”.

“I need a parka as well”, he adds, before looked at images of jackets and bucket hats popularised by the band.

And to top it all off, he brings up an image of a Strongbow Dark Fruits cider can, telling his followers: “If I’m gonna look the part, I need to drink the part.”

Noel then hit back on Twitter the following day, posting  a video of his crying son Donavan saying : “You might wanna try and find some joy in your tunes you’re destroying the youth… my 11yr old is in bits.”

Today’s performance isn’t Lewis’ first at Glastonbrury, having thrilled fans with a special secret appearance yesterday afternoon.

In the basking sunshine, he took to the BBC Introducing Stage with a six-song set in the packed out tent.

“I’m sweating!” he said. “I can feel my nipples getting erect – they’ll take an eye out because I’m so aroused so watch out for that.”
