Watch Emilia Clarke try and trick New Yorkers into thinking she's Jon Snow to launch 'Game Of Thrones' competition

One fan will win the chance to watch the show’s finale with the actor

Emilia Clarke has launched a new Game Of Thrones competition where one winner will get to watch the show’s finale with the star.

The long-running hit HBO series will come to an end on May 19, 2019, when the final episode of season eight is aired.

To promote the competition, Clarke dressed up as her co-star Kit Harington’s character Jon Snow and accosted New Yorkers in the city’s Times Square. At one point in the video, the actor, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, approached three men dressed as Batman, Superman, and Zorro. “I’m the King of the North, it’s not a big deal,” she told them. “It’s a very big deal.”

Confused, the trio asked her if she “worked around here”. Clarke replied: “No, I work in the North. [North] of the wall.”

Sharing the video on her Instagram page, the star wrote: “Oh yeah, I am kit Harington without the (any) abs. Maybe I’ll wear this outfit when I host your Game Of Thrones finale party! Maybe I’ll let you wear the beard!!”

One winner and three friends will be transported to London and put up in a four-star hotel, meet Clarke and attend a private screening of the final episode of the show with the actor.

Fans can enter for a chance to win by donating money to Clarke’s new charity SameYou via the Omaze website. Each donation will secure a designated number of entries into the contest.

Clarke launched SameYou earlier this year after sharing her story about surviving two brain aneurysms while filming the early seasons of Game Of Thrones.

The organisation aims to provide treatment for others recovering from brain injuries and strokes. In a statement on the charity’s website, the star wrote: “As more people recover from brain injury and strokes because of improvements in acute care, we urgently need a major initiative to propel neurorehabilitation support services to the forefront.”
