Based on the original concept by martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Warrior became an instant hit with fans when it premiered on Cinemax in the USA earlier this year. Following the season one finale Stateside on June 7, 2019, and the series premiere in the UK on Sky One on June 25, fans of Warrior are keen to know if the series will be back for another run. Luckily, HBO’s sister channel Cinemax has already renewed Warrior for season two.
Will there be another series of Warrior on Cinemax?
Warrior season two will go ahead following the worldwide success of the debut series.
Cinemax officially renewed Warrior after just three episodes of the first season.
President of HBO film Len Amato told Deadline: “Bruce Lee’s vision is alive and well,
“Warrior combines high-energy martial arts with wit and brains. We’re thrilled to renew such a great show for a second season on Cinemax.”
When will Warrior season 2 be released?
The release date for Warrior season two is yet to be revealed.
However, there are a few clues for Warrior fans to suggest when it may be.
The first season dropped on Cinemax on April 5, 2019 with its first episode, The Itchy Onion.
Sky One in the UK airs the first episode on Tuesday, June 25.
Should season two follow suit, fans in the USA could expect new episodes in April 2019.
Similarly, UK Warrior fans may be able to catch season two come the summer of 2020.
Once Warrior premieres in the UK, there will be a number of ways for fans to watch new episodes.
Warrior airs on a weekly basis on Sky One every Tuesday at 10pm.
Sky customers will also be able to live stream every episode at the same time as its TV broadcast via the Sky Go mobile and desktop app.
Shortly after each episode finishes, Warrior will be available to watch online on-demand on the same service.
NOW TV will also make Warrior episodes available to live stream online.
Similar to Sky Go, each episode of the first season can be watched on-demand after their broadcast.
Season two will likely be broadcast on the same platforms once it arrives in the UK.
In the USA, fans can watch Cinemax online via the network’s official website.
Hulu subscribers can also add Cinemax to their packages at an extra monthly cost.
