Walking Dead actor Josh Turner arrested for assault


THE Walking Dead actor Josh Turner has reportedly been arrested over an alleged assault.

The star – who appeared in 17 episodes of the post apocalyptic horror series – is behind bars in Tennessee, according to TMZ on Thursday.

The 34-year-old was arrested on an outstanding warrant from out of state, while he was in Newport, Tennessee, according to the website.

Cocke County Sheriff’s Office say that he’s being held on a warrant from Oregon for an alleged assault and is waiting to be returned to Oregon after having been released from custody by mistake.

According to his IMDb.com profile, the Newport-based actor’s screen work includes 17 uncredited appearances on the long-running AMC series.

He has also had more recent bit parts in HBO’s Watchmen series, and The Last Movie Star, starring Burt Reynolds, which was shot in Knoxville in 2016.

His profile also notes an uncredited role in Twilight as his first appearance onscreen.

The Bedford, Indiana, native describes himself as an actor and pro-wrestler, on his Twitter profile.

He wrestles under the name Josh “TKO” Turner.

He got his start at the former WWE training camp, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and made several appearances at key wrestling promotions across the nation.

He married wife Samantha in October 2019, and is a father of three children.
