Vinnie Jones has GMB viewers in tears as he cries over wife's tragic death


Emotions were high in the ITV studio this morning as Vinnie Jones opened up about his wife’s death earlier this year.

Tanya Jones fought a heartbreaking cancer battle for six years after she was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2013.

On Good Morning Britain , the 54-year-old former footballer recalled her final months on the show and eventually broke down in tears.

He said: “One thing was important, I didn’t want her frightened.

“When she first started feeling a niggling pain in her side was when were in Dubai at the Dubai world cup.”

“Christmas Eve was a tough one. they found a couple of spots on her brain.”

He confessed: “That was the first time we ever broke down together.

“She didn’t want to ruin Christmas.”

With tears in his eyes, he added: “She was an absolutely fantastically gorgeous woman.”

Listening to Vinnie open up, viewers were left broken-hearted by the display of emotion, and praised his bravery.

One said: “My heart is breaking for Vinnie Jones watching this. God bless you Vinnie.”
