Instead of bringing them under Harald’s rule, Kjetill retained the islands as ‘personal domain’.
In the Laxdaela saga, Kjetill took control of the Isles to escape Harald’s rule in Norway.
On the other hand, the Landnámabók saga, suggests Harald sent Kjetill to win the Islands back from the original raiders and upon arrival, Kjetill claimed the Isles as his own.
In Vikings season six, Flatnoseis a famous warrior in the fictional country of Kattegat.
In season five, he joined Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) on his journey to Iceland but in season six, he returned to Kattegat without Floki.
Since his return, King Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) has been suspicious of Flatnose and believes he may be responsible for Folki’s disappearance.
In the latest episode, Flatnose travelled to Iceland with Ubbe and Torvi, who are searching for Floki.
Flatnose did not seem too happy about his travel companions and something certainly seemed odd about his behaviour.
Will the truth finally be exposed to what happened to Floki? Fans will have to wait and find out.
