Peter Franzen, who plays Harald on the series, acknowledged that his historical counterpart simply died of old age.
However, for the more fictitious show for History, he had a simple request: “Of course I would like him to pick up a sword and go into battle blazing, then just get hacked to pieces.”
It surely wouldn’t be a complete season of Vikings without someone getting dismembered.
