Vito was following the VideoGames.CO auction on Sav.com today, and it closed at $999. Whois records show that VideoGames.CO was created 11 days ago. I assume this is some sort of pending delete auction, although I am not familiar with the auction platform. There were 25 bids from 7 bidders in the auction:

Using NameBio, I can see several exact match “VideoGames” domain name sales in different extensions:
- VideoGames.IT – $9,660
- VideoGames.Mobi – $8,100
- VideoGames.Biz – $407
- VideoGames.US – $360
There are also quite a few domain name sales with VideoGames in them, such as VideoGamesMedia.com ($2,804), BuyVideoGames.com ($888), and UKVideoGames.com ($488). In 2017, the extension spanning Video.Games domain name was reportedly sold by Rightside for $183,000. Video.Games does not appear to be developed.
When I visited VideoGames.com to see how that domain name is being used, I was forwarded to GiantBomb.com.
I don’t have many .CO domain names in my portfolio beyond a couple of one worders like Bahamas.CO and Elliot.CO, but it seems like a pretty good price for the buyer. What do you think? A steal, a fair price, or overpaid?
