Videogame company Razer is making chewing gum – EsquireMe

Razer is certainly diversifying out of the gaming accessory game; it recently announced its first productivity range and now has partnered up with Wrigley’s to make chewing gum to help pro-gamers concentrate.

Razer thinks that its new RESPAWN chewing gum will give gamers a competitive advantage over other players, with its gamer-centric chewing gum. The gum apparently helps maintain and improve focus and reaction time, thanks to the inclusion of green tea extract and B vitamins.

There will be three flavours at launch; cool mint, pomegranate watermelon and tropical-punch.

According to the launch statement, “Product validation has remained a core element of RESPAWN’s product development to guarantee meeting the unique needs of gamers,” and so it put together focus groups and taste tests to study the habits of gamers and their consumption patterns while playing video games, “all to determine the best gum offering in form factor, ingredients, and taste.”

The product is only available in the US right now, but you can grab some via Razer’s website. A 10-pack bundle of various flavours will set you back US$28.
