Victoria Beckham has expressed her heartbreak over the death of her close friend and business associate, Ed Filipowski.
Ed, a PR giant in the fashion industry, died at his New York home at the age of 58 after complications after a recent surgery.
Now the former Spice Girl has taken to social media to pay tribute to “the kindest man.”
“This is heartbreaking,” she penned, “So deeply saddened to hear that Ed Filipowski passed away today.
“He was the kindest man and an incredible force in the industry. I am so lucky he was an integral part of my extended VB team family for many years.
“RIP Ed. I will miss you. Sending love you his family and all at @kcdworldwide.”
KCD Worldwide, at which Ed was Co-Chairman and Chief Strategist, shared the news of his death in an Instagram post of its own.
The company wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we share news of the passing of our beloved Co-Chairman and Chief Strategist Ed Filipowski.
“He leaves a legacy as a champion of the fashion industry with his unbridled optimism and spirit, and we will forever be grateful for his visionary leadership.”
Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour also had high praise for Ed, saying: “Anyone who ever had the privilege of working with Ed knew he was far more than a particularly brilliant public relations executive.
“Thanks to his terrific sense of loyalty, he was always able to make kindness and respect central to every single thing her did.”
She went on to describe him as “totally supportive and unflinchingly honest.”
Anna also added: “Ed was always first to pick up the phone and ask what he could do to help.
“And help he always did. For someone who preferred to be behind the scenes, he was at the center of absolutely everything.”
