Victoria Beckham was worried she and David Beckham would have little “to say to each other” away from their busy, family life. The fashion designer, who this weekend is launching her new beauty range, cerebrated 20 years of marriage to her former footballer spouse, 44, on July 4. The couple marked the big milestone with a romantic trip to Paris together, without their four children. Now the 45-year-old has admitted she thought conversation might be lacking but she was very wrong.
Speaking to the Telegraph Magazine, Victoria recalled what had bothered her on leaving sons Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 14, as well as daughter Harper, eight, at home.
She commented: “I said to David, ‘God, what will we have to say to each other when it’s just us?
“But we talked and laughed the whole time, and not even about the kids or work.”
When asked if he sends himself up, the former Spice Girl continued: “He’s better at sending me up.
“But hey, what a relief – we’ll be OK, even when they’ve all left home.”
They shared a number of snaps on their respective Instagram pages at the time, which included a visit to Versailles.
“Most amazing visit to Le Château de Versailles on a very special day,” he captioned one.
“Thank you to everyone for making it so memorable @chateauversailles One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen @victoriabeckham.”
He had previously gushed: “WOW 20 years, look what we created. Love you so much @victoriabeckham @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
Victoria also said: “The most incredible visit on a very special day. Thank u to everyone who made it so memorable and all our family and friends for always supporting us as a family.
“Can’t believe it’s been 20 years! So many kisses xxx VB @davidbeckham @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”(sic)
Victoria went on to discuss reports that surfaced in July that said the family would be relocating to Miami.
The Sun said the Beckhams has been eyeing up an incredible £45 million Miami apartment, complete with rooftop pool and private helipad.
David is currently launching his Major League Soccer team in the city, called Inter Miami.
However, Victoria has said she is very happy with their currently living arrangement, after moving back to the UK in 2016.
“I love living in London. I wouldn’t ever want to leave,” the star, who grew up in Harlow, Essex, added.
