Victoria Beckham fangirls over Dame Helen Mirren after actress attends her fashion show

Victoria Beckham shared her delight at seeing Dame Helen Mirren on the front row of her latest London Fashion Week show.

In a video posted on her Instagram account, the designer, 45, couldn’t contain her excitement as she described the actress’s attendance as a “major” moment for her and her fashion brand.

“Dame Helen Mirren was at my show!” she exclaimed in the clip, while gesturing eagerly with her hands.

“It’s major,” she continued. “I don’t say that very often, but it’s major. I don’t know what to say, you know, I’m honoured that she likes what I do and that she comes to support me.”

The former Spice Girl went on to describe Mirren, 74, as “the perfect Victoria Beckham woman.”

“I have so much respect for her professionally,” she added. “I’m a huge fan of her but also she’s a strong, strong, powerful woman and seeing her sitting in the front row, wearing my designs, is the icing on the cake.”

“Really it’s been such an amazing few days with the launch of [Victoria Beckham] beauty and the fashion show and then Dame Helen Mirren… I’m like, ‘oh my gosh, what’s going to happen next?’”

The star previously paid tribute to the actress on Instagram, posting a photo of them posing backstage with the caption: “So happy to see @helenmirren backstage at #VBSS20, looking amazing in my Pre Fall collection!!! X Kisses.”

Victoria’s family supported the designer at her show on Sunday afternoon, with husband David, 44, sons Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 14, and daughter Harper, eight, all in attendance at 180 Strand.

Ahead of the event, Victoria shared a series of sweet photos with her daughter, describing her in the caption as her “number one guest.”

She later posted a black and white video clip of Harper saying “Hi Mummy, well done” alongside another heart-warming message which read: “I look so beautiful and well done mummy. You work so hard, I love you. Love Harper.”
