Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is back in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad to face Wolves at Molineux tonight.

The Swede missed Saturday’s 2-1 win against Watford after being given time off after his wife gave birth to their first child together.

The defender pulled out of Sweden’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Romania and received abuse for his decision to be by the side of his partner, Maja.

Solskajer admitted Lindelof was not injured for the game against the Hornets and was given time off to resolve ‘issues.

However, Solskjaer has confirmed the former Benfica man is in tonight’s squad to face Wolves in what is a must-win for the Red Devils.

‘He’ll travel,’ said Solskjaer stressed.

‘It was a decision we made [not to play him against Watford]. He’d not trained as well as he should have, and that was the reason. And Phil [Jones] had come through his programme anyway.’

United have just seven games left to secure Champions League qualification and Solskjaer says his side must come top of a ‘mini league’ with Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Wolves knocked United out of the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory at Molineux in mid-March and the game is arguably United’s second toughest game of the run-in behind the visit of Manchester City in late April.
