Award-winning composers Cris Velasco and Jose Varon have formed a new “globally focused full-service audio production company” that specialises in music, voice over, and sound design for video games.
Boasting a “combined experience of over 300 game titles” – including Bloodborne, Overwatch, Mass Effect 3, Borderlands, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, Overwatch, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Mass Effect 3 and God of War – The Audio Hive has a “world-class roster” of sound designers and audio directors, including “A-list game audio veterans” Rodney Gates – who worked for Guerrilla Games, Sony Online Entertainment, and High Moon Studios – voice director & casting director Rob King – whose credits include Shadow of the Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3, and Devil May Cry – and business development manager Koyo Sonae, who has previously worked on projects such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Resident Evil 7.
According to a recent press release, the team’s first assignment was for Gunfire Games’ Remnant: From the Ashes, which releases later this month.
