Vans is opening its largest European store on Oxford Street next week

Vans are endeavouring to put a spring in to Londoner’s steps.

The American brand is opening its largest European store on Oxford Street on November 21.

The store, which will host the brand’s footwear, apparel and accessories, will replace the current Miss Selfridge store on the golden mile of London retail.

The new store will also be home to a Customs Lab, which will offer customers the opportunity to customise their purchases with a host of in-store artists.

Upon the opening of the brand-spanking new space, Vans will also donate $1million to Imagination.org, a charity founded in 2012 which encourages creativity in children.

This isn’t the first time Vans, which was founded in 1966, has made a point of supporting charities.

Recently they have also released its ‘Save the Planet’ range (where a percentage of profits go to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii) and have also unveiled its Breast Cancer Awareness Collection, where a percentage of profits were donated to Coppafeel!, the UK-based breast cancer awareness charity which promotes early detection.

The launch of the new store falls on Vans Checkerboard Day, which is an annual occasion hosted by the brand which aims to encourage people to participate in creative activations and support creative expression.

The Vans store will open at 214 Oxford Street on Thursday November 21.
