Vanessa Bryant celebrated the release of her late husband Kobe’s new book The Wizenard Series.

Bringing a little light into our time in isolation, the mother-of-four took to Instagram to share the exciting news.

She wrote: ‘Welcome back to Dren! We hope you are all ready to catch up with the West Bottom Badgers for another magical basketball season.

‘The #Wizenard Series: Season One is OUT NOW. #KobeBryant  #GranityStudios #Kobeinc.’

The book, entitled Season One, is the new instalment of Kobe’s New York Times best-selling series which focuses on a young basketball player who dreams of being a basketball superstar.

Season One shares a quote from the basketball legend, saying: ‘To young athletes who commit to doing the hard work. The process always pays off.’

Meanwhile, Vanessa has reportedly asked the court for help to get Kobe’s affairs in order after his death, due to the coronavirus outbreak holding things up.

She has been trying to sort Kobe’s trust so it includes their baby daughter Capri, but the court closures caused by the pandemic are allegedly holding things up.

According to TMZ, Vanessa filed legal documents asking a judge to appoint a guardian ad litem for her daughters Bianka and Natalia as well as another for Capri.

This is a routine requirement to be able to modify Kobe’s trust to include Capri, and the guardians are appointed by a judge to represent the independent interests of the children.

The process was already underway but Vanessa has reportedly asked for it to be dealt with urgently as ‘due to court closures caused by the global pandemic’ it may not be possible to sort it for the foreseeable future if the courts close.
