Nina Dobrev has split from boyfriend Grant Mellon after one year of dating according to reports.

The couple’s relationship has apparently ‘run its course’ and they will be going their separate ways, says E! News.

Their supposed split comes after the pair weren’t spotted together for over a month.

A source told E!: ‘Nina hasn’t brought him around to any of her events in over a month and hasn’t mentioned Grant.

‘She has been partying and hanging out with friends without him. He has been shooting a Netflix film outside of Los Angeles and they haven’t been hanging out together. Nina seems to be doing fine but none of their friends have seen or talked to Grant.’

Meanwhile another insider revealed to People that their relationship ‘just ran its course’.

‘Nina is always so busy with different projects, it’s hard for her,’ they added.

The Vampire Diaries star and her screenwriter boyfriend kept their romance fiercely private, and it is not exactly known when they started dating.

In May this year they were papped together at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Last month the 30-year-old actress had to set the record straight about rumours of a feud between herself and Vampire Diaries co-star Paul Wesley.

Earlier this year it was reported that the pair ‘didn’t get along at the beginning of the show,’ but the actress insisted that was ‘blown out of proportion to such a crazy degree.’

She said: ‘I guess nothing else was happening that week ‘cause every outlet picked it up.’

Joking, she added: ‘I felt like I was Brangelina. You know what, guys? We’re not.’

The Fast and Furious eight actress had been ‘talking about all of the wonderful things that I love about Paul Wesley’ at the time and had been referring to only ‘a very brief moment in time [when] we did not get along.’

Speaking on the recent episode of Chicks In The Office, Nina went on to say: ‘It was one of those things that we just – it’s not that we didn’t like each other. We just didn’t appreciate each other as much as we do now – and that, of course, got blown [out] of proportion. ‘They took one sentence out of context and deleted all of the other ones where I’m like, “I love him. We’re best friends now”.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Nina’s reps for comment.
