Legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant died in a tragic helicopter crash on January 26 in Los Angeles with his daughter Gigi ad seven others.
And Val Chmerkovskiy paid tribute to the legend, while rocking a sweater that had his name on it, along with his jersey number.
The professional dancer, 34, and his wife, Jenna Johnson, also a dancer, picked up groceries from LA area grocery store Erewhon on Friday while both wearing masks and gloves amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Kobe had two jerseys – no. 8 and no. 24 – he switched to the latter number midway into his basketball career.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend, soon to be in the Basketball Hall of Fame (induction ceremony is August), died at age 41 on January 26 in a helicopter crash in Calabasas with his 13-year-old daughter Gigi and seven others.
He leaves behind wife Vanessa Bryant and three surviving daughters: Natalia, 17, Bianka, three and Capri, seven months.
The front of Val’s hoodie said Kobe with 1978-2020 and the back had the number eight with a halo over it.

Jenna wore black leggings with a matching top, adding a jacket, mask, baseball cap and gloves; she sported a red accented Louis Vuitton logo crossbody bag.
On Monday, Val wished wife Jenna a happy 26th birthday with two snaps of her as she posed in their decorated dining room.

They are also celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary on Monday as well.

Val, is a two-time DWTS Mirror Ball champion and has appeared on 15 seasons; he most recently paired with Sailor Brinkley-Cook.
Jenna was the third runner up on So You Think You Can Dance season 10 in 2013 and began appearing on DWTS in 2016 for season 23; she has been on the series for four seasons.
